Sorry to be getting to this so late. I usually plan to put this post together towards the end of the day on Friday so that I include posts from that day. Lately, though, I've been so busy on Friday nights that it's slipped a few days. So in order to ensure that the Friday Blog Round Up actually comes out on Friday, I'm going to start doing these posts before lunch time on Fridays. Hopefully that will keep me on trac a bit better. Now, onward to those "Friday" blog links...
First up, Beth of the blog Finding My Voice shares some of her thoughts about training and talks about what it's really like when you're walking on the event in this post. Some great, practical tips in there!
Speaking of practical tips, Michelle, who writes the blog My 6 Month Countdown to the San Francisco 3 Day, shares some great advice for keeping up with your 3 Day training while traveling in this post. She also shares a fun list of "commandments" for runner that are also quite relevant for 3 Day walkers in this post.
Cat of the Fat Girl Walkin' blog has been experiencing both the highs and the lows of preparing for the 3 Day this week. She enthusiastically describes the joy of completing her first 3 mile walk in this post and talks a bit about some unfortunate voices of negativity here.
Margie of Margie's Magenta Miles also talks about some of her training frustrations this week in this post about speed bumps.
Michelle of the blog My Pink Goal shares some great thoughts about how the ladies of the 3 Day are redefining femininity in this awesome post.
I think we can all agree that nothing redefines femininity like choosing to go bald in order to raise money, which is just what Joyce of the Music City Spirit team did this week. You can read all about it and watch videos of her transformation here.
Leanne of the Leanne... the Walker blog has had a crazy two weeks. She reflects on her experiences and talks about how the joy of the endings makes all the struggles in life and on the 3 Day worth it in this thoughtful post.
This isn't directly related to the 3 Day, but I still wanted to share this great post from Laurie of the 60 Miles or Bust team about the Houston Walk to Empower event this past weekend.
The always resourceful Betties for Boobies team recently hosted a Petting Zoo and silent auction fundraiser that raised over $1700 for their team. You can read all about here and watch an excellent video from the event here.
Finally, I cannot remember who linked me to this and I don't have a clue who made it, but I highly recommend this fantastic and moving slide show of images from the 2009 Washington DC 3 Day to everyone that needs a little jolt of 3 Day spirit.

Great link-up Kristen! Thanks for including me!
Thanks for sharing all of these links, Kristen! I haven't been able to join a team yet, so I've really enjoyed connecting with so many people online.
